Simple Crème Caramel
Finally an easy version of crème caramel!

What to impress your friends and family with a dessert that's easy and super delicious? Your answer is this extremely easy version of crème caramel, also known as flan. You don't need a lot of prep time, but your guests will think it took you all day long to make. This flan is easy and has the same succulent and creamy texture you would expect from one that took longer to prepare. In fact, this recipe is so easy that even your kids can help you make it.
Ingredients:
3 eggs
1 12oz can of evaporated milk
1 14oz can of condensed milk
1/4 cup of white granulated sugar
Preparation:
1. Fill up a 3 quart sauce pan 1/3 of the way up with water and place over medium-low heat, and bring to a simmer.
2. Pour the evaporated and condensed milk into a blender along with the eggs, and mix for about a minute.
3. Place a small non-stick pan over medium-low heat and add the sugar to it. Allow for the sugar to melt and caramelize, then immediately pour it into a medium heat-resistant glass bowl. Allow the caramel to cool down for 10-15 minutes.
4. Now add the milk mixture to the bowl, and cover tightly with aluminum foil, and then a flat lid.
5. Take the covered bowl, and place over the saucepan with simmering water - this is called a bain-marie. Cook for about 40 minutes to 1 hour or until the milk has settled, but still has a slight jiggle to it.
6. When done remove the flan from the heat and let it cool down for a few minutes.
You can scoop it out from the bowl to serve, or you can flip it upside down over a serving dish. Either way, you will love this super easy dessert!
