Brownie Balls

Fun festive way to get your chocolate fix!

Brownie Balls

Perfect for the holidays, these brownie balls are a really fun and colorful way to make dessert! Bring the kids to the kitchen and form an assembly line!

Ingredients:

Freshly baked brownies, crumbled with fork (use your own favorite recipe!)
Bag of chocolate chips - white, dark, or milk chocolate
Food coloring
Sprinkles/cinnamon/sparkles/fairy dust
Bowls for mixing chocolate

Preparation:

1. Take your freshly baked brownies, and using a fork crumble them. Allow to completely cool.

2. Form balls with brownie in your hands, and place on baking sheet lined with either silicone or parchment paper. Make sure balls are not too large, a little smaller than a golf ball is good. Keep balls at least 1 inch apart on baking sheet.

3. Cool brownie balls in freezer for at least 10 minutes.

4. Melt chocolate chips - either in a bain-marie, or in the microwave. CAUTION: if microwaving, only go 10 seconds at a time so that the chocolate does not burn.

5. While chocolate is hot and liquid, separate into different heat-safe bowls. Add food coloring to chocolate and mix until you get the desired color (white chocolate works best for this).

6. Place brownie ball in liquid chocolate, and move around with fork to ensure it is coated completely.

7. Place covered brownie ball back on the lined baking sheet, and quickly decorate with sprinkles, some fresh cinnamon, or anything you wish while the chocolate is still wet. Add eyes, make little figures, whatever!

8. After coating and decorating all of your brownie balls, place them in the fridge to cool for ten minutes before serving.
